Parent Teacher Cooperative
Renaissance Charter School at Coral Springs believes that the involvement of parents in the education of a child is essential. Not only is academic communication important, the volunteer involvement of parents is important to benefit the programs of the school. The RCSCS PTC is structured in a manner that respects the importance of time with family, engagement in the school community, and the opportunity to enrich the programs of the school for students.
All Things Back To School
A major component of the RCSCS PTC will be the team structure for events, fundraisers and identified needs of the school. A parent can focus their talents and personal enjoyment with the events and opportunities of the school. Volunteer organizations have always known that putting the right volunteers in the right places increases the retention of volunteers and the success of the organizational efforts. RCSCS intends to put these lessons into practice and harness the immense talents and abilities within our school.
If you did not attend our first PTC meeting, did not sign up for a committee, and are interested in increasing your level of engagement in our school, please contact Kayla Pettus at firstname.lastname@example.org
School Advisory Council (SAC)
The main purpose of the SAC is to assist in the development of the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and to monitor the implementation of the SIP. The membership of the SAC is representative of the school and community and includes the principal, teachers, community partners and parents. The SAC will meet to hear update reports the strategic priorities of the school and make decisions as to whether SIP plan modifications need to be made.

Parent Volunteer Information
Welcome to Renaissance Charter School at Coral Springs Parent Volunteer Corner! We strongly believe that parent volunteers play important part in making our school successful. Renaissance Charter School at Coral Springs requires that parents provide twenty volunteer hours to the school each academic year or thirty volunteer hours if parents have more than one child attending the school. If the required hours are not met prior to the end of the school year you will lose your seat for the following school year. Volunteer Opportunities are regularly communicated through monthly Newsletter, email, or by teacher. Please remember that it is the parents/guardians’ responsibility to complete, track and log their volunteer hours into the PowerSchool system.
